On this holiday to observe Veterans Day, the Board of Trustees and I extend to every veteran in our ²¡¶°Ò¹ÇÚ community our sincerest gratitude for your service to our country. We are also very proud that our expression of appreciation is matched with action. Thanks to our great Walter S. Newman Veterans Resource Center, ²¡¶°Ò¹ÇÚ serves over 1500 veterans to help them continue their higher education.
²¡¶°Ò¹ÇÚ veterans understand the call of duty. Some of them will continue on to careers as first-responders and firefighters. Many of our veterans were among those fighting the recent fires in the Bay Area.
I thank our ²¡¶°Ò¹ÇÚ veterans for providing us all with an exemplary model of service and also the hope that, now and always, we are all in this together.
